After the tragic loss of his teenage friend Mike during a surfing trip, Sean grapples with his personal turmoil. In a moment of frustration, Sean paddles out into the ocean, only to find himself caught in a sudden rain squall. Alone and adrift, he begins to experience vivid visions of the significant people in his life, including haunting memories of his long-deceased son, Ben.
