After retiring, detective Harry Trumble finds himself drawn back to the job when 'The Clown Killer'—a criminal he pursued for over ten years—re-emerges to commit new murders. Mark is hesitant to assist Harry with the investigation, partly due to their strained relationship, but also because he harbors doubts about Harry's involvement in the Clown's sudden return.
