Jericho and Sumah, the chief's daughter, are eager to marry. To test their compatibility, Daniel suggests a trial engagement. For the next month, Jericho will stay with the Indians while Sumah will experience life with Boone's family, allowing them both to explore and adapt to each other's cultures.
