With rising temperatures shutting down the ice roads, the drivers find themselves stuck and hoping for a deep freeze. When a surge of arctic air finally restores the ice roads, it's time to hit the gas. However, caution is key, as newcomer Steph Custance faces treacherous icing conditions and ends up in a ditch. At the same time, seasoned truckers Lisa Kelly, Art Burke, and Todd Dewey are about to test whether the newly reopened ice crossings can handle their heavy rigs.
