Quincy hurries to a Native American reservation in Arizona after learning that his foster son, Chester, has contracted bubonic plague. Upon verifying the situation, he seeks to alert the local authorities, but they dismiss his concerns. Their focus is solely on the grand opening of a new country club, which they believe will attract tourists. With a major golf tournament featuring prominent players on the horizon, they are unwilling to create a panic that could jeopardize the resort's success before it even opens its doors.
