Quincy is requested to perform an autopsy on a marine who tragically died during training. His friend, Harry Collier, urges him to provide a second opinion to counter the media's speculation of a cover-up. As Quincy conducts the examination, he uncovers what appears to be signs of murder. Determined to uncover the truth behind the young soldier's death, he visits the military base to investigate further and identify anyone responsible for the incident.
