S1E1 Episode One

In the spring of 1920, Beatrice and Evangeline Elliott are shocked to discover that their deceased father has left them nearly broke. They had always believed their father, a prominent doctor, was wealthy, only to find out he led a hidden life and squandered much of his money. Faced with financial woes, the sisters seek employment, but their sheltered upbringing leaves them ill-equipped for the job market. Fortunately, a new acquaintance connects them with her brother, Jack Maddox, a renowned society photographer in search of a receptionist.
