Megan Meza’s culinary journey began long before she could reach a stove; as a child, she hosted imaginative cooking shows in her Fisher-Price kitchen, eagerly recorded by her mother’s 90s camcorder. This early enthusiasm for food laid the groundwork for a vibrant career. After earning her degree from Duke University, Megan honed her culinary skills at the International Culinary Center in New York City, all while juggling a full-time role as a customer strategist in an advertising firm.

With a robust background in Marketing and Design Thinking, Megan has collaborated with prominent brands such as Coca-Cola, Southwest Airlines, Philips, and Mondelez. In these roles, she led innovative global initiatives, developed go-to-market strategies, and crafted customer engagement plans, experiences that ultimately fueled her entrepreneurial aspirations in launching Bandida.

Growing up in San Diego, California, Megan was immersed in a culture rich with flavors, where tacos and horchata were staples of her everyday life. Her father, a Mexican immigrant, instilled in her a strong entrepreneurial spirit, further enriching her culinary endeavors with her Mexican heritage. Today, Megan resides in Brooklyn, NY, where she continues to explore and celebrate her cultural roots through her culinary creations, transforming her childhood passion into a thriving career.
