Mo Fry Pasic
Mo Fry Pasic is a multifaceted talent known for their work as an actor, writer, and comedian. Transitioning into comedy after a distinguished career in Division One Volleyball, where they earned honors as an All-American and Junior Olympian, Mo began their journey in the comedic arts by studying improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade in 2014. Their comedic evolution continued at The Annoyance Theater, where they participated in original sketch shows and performed with house teams.
In the vibrant alt-comedy scene of Brooklyn, Mo began stand-up comedy, forging a close friendship and creative partnership with Tim Platt. The duo, known as “Pasic and Platt,” gained recognition for their genre-defying, semi-improvised dark comedies, earning the title of “Titans of subversion” from Time Out New York. Mo’s passion for acting flourished through collaborations with playwrights Julia Mounsey and Peter Mills Weiss, culminating in the creation of the powerful play “50/50 Old School Animation.” This gripping work, which debuted at the Jack Theater in 2016 and was showcased at The Public’s Under The Radar festival in 2018 and 2019, received critical acclaim, with The New Yorker praising Mo's performance as “Virtuosic.”
In 2020, while navigating the challenges of the pandemic, Mo relocated to Los Angeles to focus on acting and creative expression. They utilize their skills in Reiki and astrology to inspire their art and advocate for survivors of sexual assault. Their latest project, “Worse Than You,” premiered at the Elysian Theater in Los Angeles on June 30, 2023, directed by their close collaborator Sudi Green. Mo proudly embraces their queerness and gender fluidity, continuously pushing creative boundaries.
