Alice Oseman

Alice Oseman, born in Kent, England in 1994, is a multi-talented author, illustrator, and screenwriter whose work has resonated deeply with young adult readers. She burst onto the literary scene at just nineteen with her debut novel, *Solitaire*, a story about teenage chaos and connection. This was followed by a string of acclaimed contemporary YA novels—*Radio Silence*, *I Was Born for This*, and *Loveless*—each exploring the messy, heartfelt realities of growing up.

Oseman is perhaps best known as the creator of *Heartstopper*, a beloved LGBTQ+ YA romance that began as a webcomic. The series has since been published in physical form by Hachette Children’s Group and adapted into a hit Netflix television show, where Oseman serves as writer, creator, and executive producer.
