He hails from a celebrated acting dynasty: his parents are Alessandro Gassmann and Sabrina Knaflitz, and his grandparents include the legendary Vittorio Gassmann and Juliette Mayniel.

Gassmann first gained national attention in 2018 as a contestant on the twelfth season of *X Factor Italy*, where he finished in fifth place. That same year, he released his debut single, "Piume." He quickly proved his staying power by winning the "Newcomers" category at the 2020 Sanremo Music Festival with the song "Vai bene così." His debut studio album, *Strike*, followed on February 7, 2020. He returned to the Sanremo stage in 2023 to compete with the track "Terzo cuore."
